Sandra’s Background

Sandra is a licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and has completed the Othmer method of EEG Neurofeedback training.  Neurofeedback is a documented treatment alternative for medications traditionally prescribed for ADHD, Depression and Anxiety.  Sandy offers traditional individual counseling/therapy, play therapy and family work in the office or in your home.  EEG Neurofeedback is available at the Maine Neurotherapy Center only.  Although she specializes in working with children, she also accepts teenage and adult clients.

In her own words...

“Keep it simple.”  Life has so many complications, stress and at times is extremely chaotic.  We all have the tendency to get wrapped up in all of the confusion and stress.  By simplifying goals and building on existing and new found strengths one can then process their situation and, in turn, learn, practice and use skills to cope with everyday life and overwhelming life events.  Everybody is different and require an individualized and flexible treatment plan to meet the individual needs of clients and their families.  I also believe therapy is a two-way-street and clients get the most out of the service by taking an active role in the process and communicate their concerns and ideas.
